About Us
After globalization, the cooperative sector is facing serious challenges like competition from multinational companies, lack of professional skills, resource constraints. In order to survive in this competition, various cooperative societies operating in the cooperative sector in Maharashtra needed to be strengthened and empowered. There was an urgent need for a coordinating agency to introduce them to improved technology, guide them for industrial growth, and benefit from new opportunities available for economic growth. For this, the state government decided to establish an independent corporation. Maharashtra Cooperative Development Corporation was Established to fulfill the above objectives. The Corporation was registered as per the Company Act on 28th August 2000. The Corporation was granted permission by the Reserve Bank of India as a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC). The corporation has been established to achieve the following objectives for Farmer Producer Organizations, Cooperative Societies and Self Help Groups in the State.
Objectives of the Corporation :
- To provide financial assistance for project establishment, expansion and rehabilitation.
- To act as NBFC - To provide loans in the form of long, medium and small term loans etc.
- To raise funds from the State Government and other external sources of finance such as Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB) and other financial institutions.
- To provide marketing services and other schemes to the marketing sector.
- To provide technical, financial and administrative information.
- To organize training, seminars and workshops for business growth.
- To enter into partnership and venture capital agreements for production, manufactured goods and marketing.
- To provide long, medium and small term loans for capital investment to agro-processing and other industries in the cooperative sector in the State.
- To provide financial assistance for government equity investment in cooperative sector projects on the lines of NCDC.
- To provide technical and managerial advice to ensure efficient operation of cooperative projects.
- To provide funds for modernization and expansion of existing projects.
- To provide finance for the rehabilitation of weak cooperative industries after proper diagnosis.
- To provide assistance and guidance for the sale of goods produced by the projects of cooperative societies in the domestic and global markets.
- To prepare projects to explore new project opportunities of cooperative societies and to participate and guide in project implementation.
- To prepare reports after checking the technical feasibility of the project.
- To help cooperative projects to compete in the global market in terms of quality and supply of new technology.
- To assist in the cost effective investment of available funds of cooperative societies in a professional manner.

महामंडळ स्थापना उद्देश
- राज्यातील सहकारी क्षेत्रातील कृषी प्रक्रिया व इतर उदयोगाना भांडवली गुंतवणूकीसाठी मध्यम,दीर्घ व अल्पमुदतीचा कर्ज पुरवठा करणे.
- एनसीडीसीच्या धर्तीवर सहकारी क्षेत्रातील प्रकल्पात शासनाचे भागभांडवल गुंतवणूकीसाठी आर्थिक सहाय्य करणे.
- सहकारी प्रकल्प सक्षमपणे चालावेत यासाठी तांत्रिक व व्यवस्थापकीय सल्ला स्वरूपात मदत करणे.
- चालू प्रकल्पांच्या आधुनिकीकरणासाठी व विस्तारासाठी लागणारा निधी उपलब्ध करून देणे.
- कमकुवत सहकारी उद्योगांच्या पुनर्वसनाकरीता योग्य निदानानंतर वित्त पुरवठा करणे.
- सहकारी संस्थांच्या प्रकल्पांकडून तयार होणाऱ्या मालाची देशांतर्गत व जागतिक बाजारपेठेत विक्री व्हावी यासाठी मदत व मार्गदर्शन करणे.
