To Implement the Coop Shops Properly there are different stake holders are involved. In Mumbai and Sub urban cities, with the help of registered 16 Farmer Producer Companies from different regions like Murbad, Palghar, Osmanabad, Solapur, Nashik, Sangli and Satara coop shops were started in Housing Societies. Over 2500 fruits and vegetables growing Farmers from the different regions of Maharashtra are getting the direct Benefit due to this Program. Presently Urban residents are able to get fresh farm products directly from the cultivators once every week.

As per Govt. of Maharashtra, Dept. of Co-operative, Marketing and Textiles GR. Dated on 04 Oct. 2018. To implement the marketing of agricultural products in the co-operative housing societies of Urban Areas in the State under Atal Mahapanan Abhiyan. Implementation of Coop Shops in different Modules in Cooperative Housing societies are as:

  • 1. The Cooperative Housing Societies should start Coop shops by Own.
  • 2. The Cooperative Housing Societies should provide space to PACs / FPCs/ SHGs to start the Coop shops.
  • 3. The Cooperative Housing Societies should provide space for Mobile Vans to PACs/ FPCs/SHGs to start the Coop Shops.
Total Number of Coop Shops stared in Maharashtra are 111 Nos.
